Police working behind the scenes to rescue t’di girls – MP

The chairman for Defense and Interior committee of the Parliament of Ghana honorable Seth Kwame Acheampong has reiterated efforts put in place behind the scenes by the security apparatus to rescue the kidnapped girls from Takoradi in the Western region.

The three girls Priscilla Bentum, Priscilla Mantebea Koranchie and Ruth Love Quayson were kidnapped in the western region of Ghana in 2018 and have since not been seen despite efforts by the Ghana police and National Security to locate their whereabouts.

This year in the wake of the issues, two Canadian volunteers were also kidnapped in Ahodwo a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti region but in just about eight days the National Security outfit through intelligence was able to rescue the girls.

Families of the three Takoradi kidnapped girls started raising concerns as to rationale behind the swift rescue operation for the foreigners.

In an interview with Nana Darkwa host of obuoba fm’s morning show, “Obuoba Kasa” honorable Acheampong who is also the Member of Parliament for Kwahu Mpraeso in the Eastern region explained the police and National Security are working tirelessly behind the scesnes to rescue the Takoradi girls.

“Nana Darkwa you know security issues cannot be discussed publicly due to the intelligence of the kidnappers, so in no time Ghanaians will smile” he assured.
