NDC PLAYING PROPAGANDA GIMMICK WITH KIDNAPPING ISSUES – MCE

The Municipal Chief Executive (M.C.E) for the Suame municipal assembly in the Ashanti region and former social science lecturer at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) honorable DR. John Osei Bobie Boahen who is worried on how the opposition is handling the recent kidnapping cases has opined members of the main opposition party in the country National Democratic Congress (NDC) are just displaying propaganda tricks with the issues.

In recent times, the Ghana police service has recorded numerous cases of kidnappings in the country one of which is the famous three kidnapped Takoradi girls in the Western region.

Two Canadian women were also kidnapped by unknown captors in Ahodwo a suburb of Kumasi but were have since been rescued by authorities. According to the Information Minister Honorable Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, National Security ops and officers from the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) working on intelligence rescued the Canadian nationals.

News begun circulating on social media that one of the suspects in the Canadian kidnapping case known as Seidu MBA is a member of the Delta Force, a pro New Patriotic Party (NPP) vigilante group.

Commenting on the development on Obuoba FM’s “obuoba kasa” hosted by Nana Darkwa, the Suame M.C.E honorable Dr. John Osei Bobie firmly lamented that, the allegations are false accusing the NDC orchestrating false information.

“They (NDC) will not even talk on the process that led to the rescue of the two(2) Canadians but rather look at the cheap propaganda they are doing with security issues, but mind you kidnappers don’t know NPP or NDC” he fumed.

The suspects numbering about eight (8) with three Nigerians and five Ghanaians are currently in police custody assisting in investigations.
